Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Applied Reads collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you visit appliedreads.com or use the member service.

1. Who operates Applied Reads

Applied Reads is a digital educational service created and operated by Vikram Anand. For privacy questions, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, authentication records, and account identifiers.
  • Payment information: phone number, order ID, payment status, amount, and transaction identifiers. Our authorized payment service provider processes the payment instrument details; Applied Reads does not store your card number, UPI PIN, or banking password.
  • Lead and communication information: details you submit through the MailerLite sample-lesson form or when contacting support.
  • Learning activity: checklist selections and progress preferences stored in your browser. Clearing browser storage may remove locally stored progress.
  • Technical information: device, browser, IP address, security logs, pages requested, and cookies or similar technologies required to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify payments, activate membership, provide the learning experience, respond to support requests, send requested sample lessons or relevant communications, prevent fraud, diagnose faults, and improve the service.

4. Service providers

We share only the information reasonably necessary with providers that help operate Applied Reads, including Supabase for authentication and backend services, an authorized payment service provider for payment processing, MailerLite for lead capture and email communication, and Hostinger for website hosting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.

The sample lesson also includes an optional link to an Applied Reads WhatsApp community. If you choose to join, WhatsApp will process your information under its own privacy policy.

5. Marketing choices

Where required, we send promotional emails only with consent. You may unsubscribe using the link in an email. Service, security, payment, and account messages may still be sent when necessary to provide your membership.

6. Data retention and security

We retain account, membership, and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide access, meet legal or accounting duties, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. We use HTTPS, restricted server credentials, access controls, and payment-signature verification, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. You can control cookies through your browser and remove locally stored learning progress by clearing site data.

8. Children

Applied Reads is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.
